Angelika MuharukwaHon. Angelika Muharukwa was born on 12 January 1958 at Opuwo in Kunene region. She declared her pride at being the first Himba to become a deputy minister in May 2004 when she joined ministry of women affairs and child welfare. Muharukwa joined Swapo in 1979 but was a political unknown until she was placed on the party list for the 1994 national assembly elections.
