Namibia Bushbuck

The Namibia bushbuck is the only solitary, nonterritorial antelope in Africa. Thy live in dense riverine vegetation which in Namibia restricts them to the Chobe and Zambezi rivers and the protected section of the Okavango River.

The males are extremely aggressive if cornered or wounded and have killed leopard, dogs and even man. No two bushbucks’ stripes and spots are the same pattern which helps to identify individuals.

A bushbuck standing motionless in a thicket is almost invisible which makes spotting of these animals on game drives or walks difficult.
