Namibia Bushpig
The Namibia bushpig reddish colour, the absence of warts and their hairy body distinguish them from warthogs. Bush pigs ran with their tail down while warthogs run with theirs vertically up.
They live in family units consisting of a boar, his sow and their offspring, this sounder may be up to twenty individuals. Bushpigs wallow in mud to control body temperatures and parasites and are always found near water. Boars are very powerful and aggressive and will even tackle a leopard.
Piglets are born with a coat of yellow stripes and spots which disappears after a few months.Best viewing areas are Mamili and Mudumu
