The Namibia Economy is one of the strongest in Africa. Currency: Namibia dollar (N$) is linked 1:1 with the South African rand (ZAR).

Namibia is the foremost producer of gem quality diamonds and the fifth largest diamond supplier in the world.

Of particular interest to tourists who visit Namibia are the line fish species taken by recreational fishermen. Recreational rock and surf angling is very popular, particularly around the Christmas season.
