Namibia Employment
The Namibia employment rate among the population aged 15 years and older is 54%, while the overall employment rate, according to the 2001 census, is 69%.

More females are unemployed than males. More than 50% of the workforce is employed in the private and public service sectors and 25% in the agricultural sector, while the industrial sector employs 12% and is mainly male dominated.
This rate is gradually decreasing as more and more people are venturing into entrepreneurship.

The Namibia government encourages self employment ventures. Organizations such as the Incubator Centre is commited to the Small and Medium Enterprises.
