Visit to Windhoek

In December 2007 I had a priviledge of visiting Namibia, Windhoek. What a priviledge really!

My husband kept saying we need to visit Namibia. He loved the desert, the first time he visited as a bachelor. We were looking forward to visiting as a family but our plans were often interrupted by a number of things.

Finally, in 2007 I found myself in Namibia. I fell in love with the laid back, quiet and peaceful lifestyle. I was so thrilled to find everything I needed from the city, from my favourite foods and restaurants to the best accommodation.

My advice is that you get enough (Namibia or South African) currency from the international airport before you reach Windhoek. Going to banks was a total waste of my time.
